Speckner graduated from Lingle-Fort Laramie High School and then attended EWC before earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wyoming.

Joe currently practices law in Torrington while actively working on his family’s cattle feeding and farming operation near Lingle. His hands-on experience as an agricultural producer and attorney gives him practical, firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing Goshen County families, including private property rights, water rights, taxes, and regulatory burdens.

Joe served his community for ten years on the Lingle-Fort Laramie Conservation District Board and remains an active member of the Torrington Rotary Club. He and his wife of 22 years, Caren, make their home on the family farm west of Lingle, where they are raising their three daughters, Natalie, Charlotte, and Lydia. Joe is a strong supporter of local youth activities and regularly attends his daughters’ sporting events.

As a conservative, Joe Speckner is committed to defending traditional family values, fighting for fiscal responsibility, and protecting Wyoming’s agriculture and natural resources from government overreach.
