Public Lands and Private Property Rights

As a third-generation family farmer and lifelong Goshen County resident, I understand firsthand how important both private property rights and public lands are to Wyoming families. Our land is part of our heritage, our economy, and our way of life.

Protecting Public Lands and Private Property

Wyoming’s vast public lands are one of our state's greatest assets. They support ranching and agriculture, provide opportunities for hunting and outdoor recreation, sustain wildlife habitat, and contribute to responsible energy development. These lands belong to the people and should remain open for multiple uses that benefit Wyoming communities.

At the same time, we must protect the rights of private property owners. Private property ownership is a cornerstone of American freedom and an important part of the American Dream. Landowners should not have to worry about government overreach, the expansion of public easements, or attempts to weaken Wyoming’s trespass laws.

As your representative, I will work to ensure that public lands remain accessible for responsible use while defending the constitutional rights of Wyoming property owners. I will oppose efforts that place unnecessary restrictions on landowners and reject policies that erode the use and enjoyment of private property.

Wyoming has always thrived when we respect both our public lands and private property rights. We can protect our outdoor heritage without sacrificing the freedoms of the people who live and work on the land every day.

I would be honored to earn your vote on August 18th.

Best,
